Apple Spiced Pie

Serves: 8 - Prep time: 10–15 minutes - Cook time: 60 minutes

Ingredients:

1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust

4 tablespoons lemon juice

8 peeled apples, cored and sliced

1/3 cup sugar

1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons flour

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 cup butter

Directions:

Preheat an oven to 375 ⁰F.

Prepare a 9-inch pie pan in advance; grease it lightly using your hands.

In a medium bowl, thoroughly mix the apple slices and lemon juice.

In a separate medium bowl, thoroughly mix both the sugar, cinnamon, flour, nutmeg, and salt.

Add in the walnuts and butter; continue mixing.

Mix half the cinnamon mixture with the apple mixture; coat well.

Pour the mixture in the crust and top with the remaining cinnamon mixture.

Cover with foil and bake for 35–40 minutes.

Take out, remove the foil and bake for 15–20 more minutes.

Serve warm!
